Who We Are

The TL Hanna Color Guard Program provides students the ability to excel regardless of their experience. Color Guard performs with the marching band and separately as a Winter Guard. With three different groups within the Winter Guard, students can develop color guard skills they desire and strive for their personal best.

Details

Color Guard is a combination of the use of flags, sabers, mock rifles, and other equipment, as well as dance and other interpretive movement. Color Guard is divided into two separate seasons that compete throughout the school year. In the fall, the color guard participates as part of the marching band program. That season begins during band camp in July and continues through the competitive season in November. After school rehearsals are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4-7 PM.

In the winter season, color guard shifts into Winter Guard and competes independently of the rest of the band. The season begins with rehearsals in November and continues through the competitive season in April.
